LADY D STORMS AIT ANNUAL CAROL COMPETITION

The 2012 Sing for Joy Carol competition for both Primary and Secondary schools around FCT, sponsored by Daar Communication PLC and Kiddies Heritage Entertainment, which took place at the Arts and Culture complex, Area 10 has come and gone, but the memory lingers. The occasion was attended by all and sundry.


The competition was geared towards uniting pupils and students from different schools and most importantly, to discover talents and skills from this young generation, as much as encouraging them to believe in themselves and with the basic knowledge that with their skills and talents they would reach to the skies.
Among other judges was Lady D whose presence was an encouragement and hype for the competition. Her presence became one of the most attractive parts of the show.
In a keenly contested talent display, St. Augustine School, Mararaba emerged the winner among other competitors for the Primary School categories while Regina Pacis Girl secondary School Emerges the winner of the Secondary School categories.
To achieve the aim of the competition, which is to encourage teenage and upcoming youths, an award presentation held today, 7th December, 2012 where winners were compensated for their efforts.
Lady D in her remarks while presenting the award to the winners stated that all had done well but in every competition, there must be a winner. She endeared all participants not to give up, that they could always be the best if they put in more efforts. Other than the competition, she encouraged the students to be disciplined and set their minds on anything they choose to achieve in life, first in their academics. “It won’t always be easy, but you must persevere. There is no harm in believing in yourself,” She had affirmed.
Everyone was delighted at the end of the event as consolation prizes were given to other participants.
